Farooki's 'Shonibar Bikel' screening in theatres abroad

Director Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's movie 'Shonibar Bikel' started screening in 71 theatres in US and Canada from 10 March.The film is being distributed by a media and entertainment company called Reliance Entertainment.
Shonibar Bikel has been waiting for clearance from the censor board of Bangladesh since 2019. A verbal clearance had been given to the film on 21 January. However, an official clearance letter was not given, stalling its local release.
'Shonibar Bikel' is based on the 2016 Holey Artisan Bakery terrorist attack in Gulshan, Dhaka.
