ADB President visits Plummy Fashions in N'ganj
He reiterated ADB’s active cooperation in the overall development of Bangladesh
A high-level delegation of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by its President Masatsugu Asakawa, visited Plummy Fashions Ltd, one of the world's top green factories, in Narayanganj on Monday.
Md Fazlul Hoque, managing director of the knitwear factory, highlighted the significant features of this factory, reads a press release.
While addressing the audience there, the ADB president lauded the pioneering role of Plummy Fashions Ltd in the green progress of Bangladesh's garment sector.
He also reiterated the active cooperation of ADB in the overall development of Bangladesh.
The delegation also visited different parts of the factory. At this time, the factory workers greeted him with flowers.
During the visit, ADB's country director for Bangladesh Edimon Ginting said he is hopeful to work more closely with the private sector of Bangladesh.
ADB Alternate Executive Director Md Azizul Alam, IFIC Bank Managing Director Shah Alam Sarwar, Plummy Fashions Limited Directors Faisal Parag, and Ranjan Dhar, senior officials of ADB headquarters and local office, and Narayanganj Police and District Administration officials were also present.
