364 foreigners leave Dhaka to their home
Among them, 225 are Malaysian and 139 are Bhutanese
A total of 364 foreign nationals of Malaysia and Bhutan have returned to their countries on different flights between Wednesday night to Thursday morning.
Among them, 225 people were Malaysian and 139 people were Bhutanese.
They could not leave Bangladesh as most of the airlines suspended their operation to curb the spread of coronavirus.
AHM Touhidul Ahsan, director and group captain of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
"A special flight carrying the Malaysian citizens left Dhaka airport on Wednesday midnight and a flight of Royal Bhutan Airlines - Druk Air left the airport around 10am today," he said.
Most of the passengers were embassy employees, he added.
