Aaron Paul wants to play Kurt Cobain in biopic
Paul recounted that the desire to play the dead rock star appeared to his radar when he first took acting seriously.
Actor Aaron Paul has recently said that he would like to play the role of the grunge-rock icon Kurt Cobain in a biopic.
In an interview with NME magazine, Paul recounted that the desire to play the dead rock star appeared to his radar when he first took acting seriously.
"Smells Like Teen Spirit' was one of the first records I bought with my own money, so I've thought that could be interesting," Paul said.
The actor is currently seen on the HBO series "Westworld," where he plays an ex-army vet turned blue collar worker.
Due to the coronavirus outbreak, Paul had to cancel a number of press tours and interviews to promote the show.
"It's an…. interesting time we're in," he tells NME. "I was supposed to do a worldwide press tour for Westworld, and we were supposed to have a
Brazil premiere, a big activation at South by Southwest festival and I was supposed to do some press and talk shows in New York – all that stuff was cancelled. Slowly but surely, every production is being shut down, which I think is the responsible thing to – just to try to stop this thing from spreading."
Aaron Paul is primarily known for his role Jesse Pinkman in the AMC series "Breaking Bad." He went on to win an Emmy award for best acting in a supporting role for his portrayal of a meth dealer in the acclaimed series.
