Light to moderate rain likely
Bangladesh Meteorology Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers in different parts of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today.
"Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, at many places over Khulna and Barishal divisions and at a few places over Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and moderately heavy falls elsewhere over the country," said a Met office bulletin issued here this morning.
However, the day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 36.0 degrees Celsius at Ishwardi of Pabna district while today's minimum temperature of 24.1 degrees Celsius was recorded at Teknaf of Cox's Bazar district.
The highest rainfall was recorded at 91mm (millimetre) at Tetulia of Panchagarh District in the last 24 hours till 6am today.
The sun sets at 6:49pm today and rises at 5:19am tomorrow in the capital.
