Entry to and exit from Rangpur banned
Police checkposts have set at all border points in the district
People are not being allowed to enter or leave Rangpur except for emergency, as countrywide shutdown imposed to curb coronavirus spread has extended until April 25.
"We will not allow anyone to enter into or to leave Rangpur district until further notification," Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan said in a press release.
"As a precaution, the entry and exit of all types of vehicles in the district are restricted hence, movement will be permitted only in emergency cases for press, health related issues and agriculture related vehicles, he added.
