Chattogram district administration files 65 cases for violating coronavirus restrictions
Ten separate teams headed by 10 executive magistrates conducted mobile court operations
The Chattogram district administration has filed 65 cases against people who violated restrictions imposed to contain coronavirus.
On Monday, it filed the cases for keeping tailor and hardware stores open, continuing construction amid lockdown, and not maintaining social distance during open market sale of rice.
Ten separate teams headed by 10 executive magistrates conducted mobile court operations in various places of the city and issued fines of Tk1.70 lakh.
Chattogram district administration in a press release said executive magistrates conducted mobile court operations to restrict movements, close down unauthorised shops and stop construction to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
