Indices down amid selling pressure
Of the traded stocks, 54 scrips advanced, 92 declined, and 98 scrips remained unchanged
Dhaka bourse on Sunday (24 September) opened lower in the early trading session amid shares selling pressure.
DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), fell by 1.53 points till 11.08am, and turnover crossed Tk152 crore.
DSE Shariah index declined by 1.51 points, and DS-30, the blue-chip index, increased by 2.40 points.
Of the traded stocks, 54 scrips advanced, 92 declined, and 98 scrips remained unchanged.
Union Insurance was top gainer list with a gain of 9.94% to Tk75.2 each, followed by Paramount Insurance by 5.27% to Tk73.9 each, and Karnaphuli Insurance by 4.67% to Tk40.3 each.
