Shooting for the movie will take place in Bangladesh, India and Australia
Mostafa Sarwar Farooki’s critically acclaimed movie ‘Shonibar Bikel’ was earlier banned in Bangladesh for “damaging the country’s reputation” and hurting religious sentiment. Currently the movie is stuck in the censor board and the director is tightlipped about the whole issue.
The Business Standard contacted the eminent director over phone and got some interesting details about his new movie ‘No land’s man.’
Farooki was adamant to avoid the censor board issue, ‘I think its best not to discuss about ‘shoniber Bikel’ right now.
Let us dive into discussion about my upcoming movie ‘No land’s man.’
“The shooting has already started and the film is going to star Nawazuddin Siddiqui in a prominent role. Around 50 percent of the shooting has already been completed and most of the shooting was done in America. Rest of the scenes will be shot in Bangladesh, India and Australia,” said Farooki.
Apart from Nawazuddin, there will be other foreign actors in the movie, but Farooki is yet to disclose the rest of the cast. He has not revealed whether Nusrat Imrose Tisha will act in the movie or not, but the actress will be a producer.
Farooki was able to garner funds from international sources.
The famed ‘Television’ director plans on completing the movie this year. The big budget film will be dubbed in English and is set to be released next year.
