Road accidents kill 211 people in one month amid lockdown
The accidents also left 227 people injured
The month-long lockdown since March 26 could not reduce the number of accidents as 211 people lost their lives in 201 road accidents during the time across the country, said Jatri Kalyan Samity.
The accidents also left 227 people injured.
Besides, the naval transport sector recorded eight deaths in eight accidents during the time and two injured while two could not be traced after accidents.
The data was revealed in the observation report by the transport association's Road Accident Monitoring Cell on Sunday. The report was prepared analysing news on accidents published in various newspapers in the country.
