Momo has started a new chapter in her career by debuting in Bollywood with a film titled Max ki Gaan
Actor Zakia Bari Momo has started a new chapter in her career by debuting in Bollywood with a film titled Max ki Gaan. Directed by Samin Khan, the story is written by Faysal Saif.
Momo is playing the character of a CBI officer, Jakia Khan. Shooting of the film is taking place in Bhutan from where Momo gave an interview to The Business Standard via Facebook.
“I am very excited. It is a new team, new format, new place --- everything is new here. I am enjoying every bit of it!” said Momo.
When asked about her experience about Bollywood she said, “Things are slightly different here. Everyone is more professional about work. This is where we are lagging behind; we have be more sincere about our work. This is achievable because we have many talented directors and actors.”
The busy actor also shared her shooting schedule. Her call time starts sharp at 8:00am so he has to wake up within 6:30am to be at the shooting place on time. Shooting goes on from morning till night with only a lunch break in between. Pack up starts from 9:00pm and everyone goes to sleep within 9:30.
Shooting for the film started on 12 August but Momo joined the team two days later. The next shooting destination is China where the team will be heading at the end of August. Momo will return home next week.
Dubbing for the film will begin from October in Mumbai. If everything goes right, Max ki Gaan will be released on next February.
Momo said, “Acting in films was always my dream. I have prepared myself for it since childhood. It has been a decade since I stepped into the world of films. I have worked very hard from the beginning and my hard work has paid off.”
Many famous artistes from India and Bhutan are going to act in this film. Some of them are Sonam Maekay Penjor, Kavita Radheshyam, Nishant Pandey and Amita Nangia.
About her so-stars, Momo said, “They were great to work with! Since I had the lead role, they helped me as much as they could to build up my character.”
Zakia Bari Momo won the Lux Channel-i Superstar competition in 2006 and began her career with Tauquir Ahmed’s film Daruchini Dip. Her last films were Chuye Dile Mon and Alta Banu.
