India women's cricket team beat their Bangladesh counterparts by 19 runs (DLS method) in the second T20I to go 2-0 up in the five-match series at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Tuesday.
Riding on opener Murshida Khatun's 46 off 49, Bangladesh managed to post 119 after their stipulated 20 overs although they looked good for a bigger score especially after a pretty decent start from Sobhaba Mostary (19 off 15).
Ritu Moni (20 off 18) gave Murshida good support but the hosts lost wickets in clusters towards the end before folding for 119.
Radha Yadav picked up three while Shreyanka Patil and Deepti Sharma accounted for two each.
In reply, India raced to 47-1 in just 5.2 overs courtesy of Dayalan Hemalatha's 41* off 24 before rain stopped play for the second time.
India were 19 runs ahead when rain came in and Hemalatha's hitting proved to be the deciding factor in the end.
