GD Assist brings back 42 stranded Bangladeshis from Kolkata
The chartered flight carrying these 42 stranded Bangladeshis from Kolkata landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 5pm on Sunday said a press release issued by the company.
Green Delta Assist (GD Assist) successfully brought back 42 stranded Bangladeshis from Kolkata on Sunday under the initiative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the high commission and deputy high commission of Bangladesh in India and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB).
The chartered flight carrying these the stranded Bangladeshis landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at around 5pm, said a press release issued by the company.
Most of the passengers of the aforementioned flight from Kolkata went there for treatment before the pandemic broke out and got stuck because of the global lockdown.

GD Assist started its efforts towards bringing these Bangladeshis back to the country after the high commission and deputy high commission of Bangladesh in India assigned the task to the company.
Managing Director of GD Assist Syed Moinuddin Ahmed mentioned that the firm was proud to have been able to continue their efforts of bringing the stranded countrymen home during this corona-riddled period.
The company is especially thankful to the high commission and deputy high commission of Bangladesh in India, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) for their prompt support and assistance in making the evacuation happen as early as possible.
