Bangladesh players frustrated by slow internet in Pakistan before Test series
Bangladesh cricket players have reportedly voiced concerns about slow internet connectivity during their current tour in Pakistan.
According to a local media report via Cricket Pakistan, the players are frustrated as the poor connection has hindered their ability to stay in touch with their families amid escalating tensions back home.
In recent weeks, Bangladesh has seen a surge in unrest, with student protests leading to widespread arson and violence, including an attack on former cricket captain Mashrafe Mortaza's home. The political turmoil has forced former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to flee the country, and the whereabouts of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan Papon remain unknown.
The Internet Service Providers (ISP) Association has reported a 30 to 40 percent reduction in internet speed nationwide. Additionally, social media platforms have experienced significant slowdowns due to the government's efforts to implement new restrictions.
Despite these issues, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has stated that they have not received any formal complaints from the BCB regarding the matter.
