Int’l conspiracy afoot to undermine communal harmony in Bangladesh: Religious affairs adviser
An international conspiracy is underway to disrupt communal harmony in Bangladesh, Religious Affair Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain said today (21 August).
"A particular group is spreading rumors to destabilise the country. We all should remain united to thwart such attempts," he said while visiting injured students at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
He assured minority communities, including Hindus, Buddhists, and Christians, of their equal rights and pledged to maintain Bangladesh's long-standing tradition of communal harmony.
The adviser condemned attacks on places of worship and minority people, saying that those responsible criminals must be punished.
