Sohan, Shoriful and Hridoy appeal for support for flood victims
Eight districts in Bangladesh are experiencing severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall and upstream water releases.
Bangladeshi cricketers Shoriful Islam, Towhid Hridoy, and Nurul Hasan Sohan have called on the public to extend their support to those affected by the recent severe flooding across multiple districts.
Towhid Hridoy, presently in Islamabad with the Bangladesh 'A' team for a match against Pakistan Shaheens, expressed his frustration at not being able to offer direct help.
He shared his thoughts on social media, saying, "It's disheartening to be unable to assist during such crises. I've asked my friends to contribute locally, but it feels like our efforts might fall short. Regardless, we must continue to support those in need until the floodwaters recede."
Shoriful, who is currently engaged in the Test series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, voiced his concern on Facebook, asking for divine help for the flood victims. He posted, "May Allah aid those impacted by the floods, Ameen."
Nurul Hasan Sohan, who is still in Bangladesh, also conveyed his sorrow and helplessness.
He shared a picture of a flood victim and wrote, "It's heartbreaking to witness this. May Allah ease their suffering."
