Jalal Ahmed appointed as BERC chairman

The government has appointed Jalal Ahmed, former chairman of Petrobangla, as the chairman of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
He will lead the energy regulatory body for the next three years.
This appointment follows the resignation of Nurul Amin, the previous chairman, who stepped down on Tuesday amid protests from officials and employees
