BGB provides financial assistance to eighteen students and public injured in July Revolution
This Sunday (January 19, 2025) morning, the BGB, at its initiative, provided financial assistance for rehabilitating 18 students and the public injured in the July Revolution at the Border Conference Centre of the BGB Headquarters in Peelkhana, Dhaka.
Brigadier General Khondaker Shafiquzzaman, BGBM, psc, Additional Director General (Administration), was the chief guest at the event and provided financial assistance to the injured.
Remembering the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the July Revolution with deep respect, the Additional Director General said that the Bengali nation has found a new address in Bangladesh through the anti-discrimination movement. BGB is also working unitedly to build that desired Bangladesh. Since the beginning of the July Revolution, BGB has treated about fifty students and the public injured in the movement at the Border Guard Hospital on its initiative.
Promising to stand by the injured students and the public as a fellow soldier, BGB Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui took the necessary initiative to rehabilitate 100 students and the public injured in the anti-discrimination movement across the country.
On December 8, Honourable Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd.) was the chief guest and started the rehabilitation program by providing financial and other assistance to 07 injured students and the public.
In continuation of this, assistance has been provided to injured students and the public across the country under the supervision of various battalions, sectors, and regions of BGB. Through today's program, assistance has been provided to 18 more injured students and the public.
With today's donation, the rehabilitation program for 100 injured students and the public promised by BGB has been completed.
