What DMP commissioner said about murder case against Shakib Al Hasan
Last Thursday (22 August), a murder case was filed against 156 individuals, including cricketer and former Awami League lawmaker Shakib Al Hasan and popular actor and former AL lawmaker Ferdous Ahmed, over the killing of a garment worker in the capital during the protest led by the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement earlier this month.
When asked about the murder case against Shakib, DMP Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan said there are many ways one can be involved in a case.
"One can be involved by aiding in the commission of the crime," he said during the "Commissioner's Meet the Press" event organised at the DMP Media Center.
"Those who have provided financial support, advice, or made provocative statements in the media against the movement will be investigated," the DMP commissioner added.
He said, "In any case, evidence will be collected in accordance with the law. Evidence is very important in the investigation of a case."
