Prof Rashidul Alam appointed new proctor of JU
He replaced Assistant Prof Md Rubel of Management Studies department
Professor Dr AKM Rashidul Alam of Environmental Sciences department has been appointed as the new proctor of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on a temporary basis.
An office order signed by JU acting registrar ABM Azizur Rahamn confirmed the appointment today (17 September).
He replaced Assistant Prof Md Rubel of Management Studies department.

Besides, Associate Prof Shamima Nasrin Jolly of Botany department, Associate Prof Muhammad Rezaul Rakib of Geography and Environment department and Assistant Prof Dr Md Al-Amin Khan of Mathematics department have been appointed as new assistant proctors of the university.
"They will be serving as the assistant proctor for the next two years from the date of their joining,' according to the office order.
In a syndicate meeting on 7 August , Md Rubel from the Management Studies department was appointed as the acting proctor of the university. However, when he expressed his inability to perform the duties of the proctor due to personal reasons, Professor Rashidul Alam was appointed as the proctor.
