Singer and television host Alif Alauddin has been suffering from kidney complications for the last 10 years. Her family has announced that 80% of her kidney has been damaged and she will need a transplant as soon as possible.

Colleagues and musician friends of Alif expressed their support on social media. Shakib Chowdhury, vocalist and bassist of Cryptic Fate, wrote about his friend Alif saying, "Alif, I am honored to call you my friend. And it is my privilege to be at your side in these trying times. Let's all send Alif positive thoughts."
