Technical Education Board secures 2nd highest pass rate in HSC results
4,922 students get GPA-5 under the board
Technical Education Board witnessed 88.09% pass rate in this year's results of HSC and equivalent examinations, which is the second highest among all the 11 education boards in terms of pass rate.
A total of 114,382 students, including 82,755 male and 31,627 female, appeared in the HSC and equivalent exams under the board while a total of 1,00,756 students have successfully passed the examination, according to the HSC results published today (15 October).
Of the total successful students, 4,922 including 1,530 male and 3,392 female students got the GPA-5.
The pass rate in the other education boards is 93.40% in Madrasah Education Board, 85.39% in Sylhet board, 81.85% in Barishal board, 81.24% in Rajshahi board, 79.21% in Dhaka board, 77.56 in Dinajpur, 71.15% in Cumilla board, 70.32% in Chattogram board, 64.29% in Jashore board and 63.22% in Mymensingh board.
On an average, 77.78% of the examinees passed the HSC and equivalent examinations held under 11 education boards of the country this year with 1,45,911 candidates getting GPA-5 while the pass rate of the HSC exams in nine general boards is 75.56%.
Out of 13,31,058 examinees, 10,35,309 students have been successful in the HSC and equivalent examinations.
In the Technical Education Board, female students surpassed male students in both achieving GPA-5 and in overall pass rates. Of the 29,424 female students, 3,392 earned GPA-5, with a pass rate of 93.03%. In contrast, only 1,530 male students out of 71,332 achieved GPA-5, with a lower pass rate of 86.20%.
A total of 1,14,382 examinees appeared in the examination under the technical education board this year. Of them, 1,00,756 students have been successful with a pass rate of 88.09.
Meanwhile, a total of 1,31,376 students achieved GPA-5 under nine general education boards, while 9,613 students earned the maximum grade point average under Madrasah Education Board.
Among the nine general education boards, in terms of GPA-5, Dhaka board secured top position with 48,558 students getting maximum grade point average, followed by 24,902 in Rajshahi board, 14,295 in Dinajpur, 10,269 in Chattogram, 9,749 in Jashore, 7,922 in Cumilla, 6,698 in Sylhet, 4,826 in Mymensingh and 4,167 in Barishal.
A number of 13,31,058 examinees appeared in the HSC and equivalent examinations under all 11 education boards this year. Of them, 10,35,309 students have been successful.
Among the successful students, 1,45,911 candidates -- 64,978 male and 80,993 female -- got GPA-5 in the examinations.
As per the education ministry's decision, the students have been evaluated through the subject mapping method based on the SSC results for those subjects which exams did not take place due to the student-led mass upsurge.
