BGB and Coast Guard patrols have been intensified to prevent infiltration at the border
Sounds of explosions were heard in Cox's Bazar's Teknaf border area in the last two days as conflict between Myanmar junta forces and the insurgent Arakan Army intensified in Rakhine state.
Local authorities and people at the Teknaf border said after a week break, continuous explosions were heard from early morning till evening on Monday. At that time, warplanes were also seen circling in the sky.

Sabrang union Chairman Noor Hossain said, "The sounds are more intense now than before. Bombs are being dropped from warplanes across the border. As a result, houses in Teknaf are shaking."
According to the locals, Myanmar's junta is conducting airstrikes against the Arakan Army to retake Maungdaw, a town located south-east of Teknaf's Jaliapara and east of Sabrang across Naf River.
