Topu hopeful to apply game plan properly against Maldives
Topu admitted that the team had been facing goal drought for a long time but the coach and assistant coach already worked on finishing.
Bangladesh national football team captain Topu Barman said their preparation is very good for the two matches against Maldives and they want to prove it on the ground.
"We have played practice match against Fortis FC as a part of preparation for the series but no matter what we did in that practice match ... winning was not important there .... our coach discussed with us what we did good and bad in that match ... we know very well what we'll have to do in the first match ... if we are able to apply our game plan properly, we hope we'll win the matches," said the Bangladesh captain at a pre match press conference held at Bashundhara Sports Complex in the city on Tuesday.
Bangladesh will take on Maldives in the first of the two-match FIFA Friendlies scheduled to be held tomorrow (Wednesday) at Bashundhara Sports Complex at 6 pm.
"I want to congratulate the U-20 football team and SAFF winning women's football team for bringing good result and now it's our turn because what I believe we'll have to win the two matches ... we want to finish the season with win keeping the target AFC Qualifying round, he said to a questioner.

Head coach Javier Cabrera said the team's preparation has been very good and the practice match against Fortis was very competitive which was needed for the team for two practice matches.
The coach said boys are very excited and confident and everyone is looking forward to play in front of local fans. Everyone is confident to give best performance against the Maldives.
