BNP to hold seminar with other parties, eminent citizens tomorrow on 31-point state reform agenda
BNP announced the “31-point for state reform” on 13 July to address reforms for “democratic transformation of the constitution and state system and economic freedom
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will host a seminar tomorrow (14 November) to discuss its 31-point state reform agenda, previously announced as part of its political commitment to constitutional and economic reform.
BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman will join the seminar virtually as the chief guest.
Party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with key figures from partner parties and eminent citizens will attend the event scheduled to be held at Hotel Lakeshore in Dhaka.
BNP declared the "31-point for state reform" on 13 July to address reforms for "democratic transformation of the constitution and state system and economic freedom."
Earlier on 19 December 2022, BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman announced the state reform agenda.
BNP's broader reform initiatives trace back to Khaleda Zia's "Vision 2030," announced in 2017.
At the BNP's Sixth National Council in 2016, Khaleda Zia had pledged to establish a bicameral parliament and create an upper house, aiming to decentralise power and strengthen parliamentary democracy.
The BNP's 31-point agenda highlights these commitments as essential to its vision for a reformed state structure.
