Islami Bank honoured at Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC has been recognised at the Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024 in two prestigious categories. The bank received the Excellence in Prepaid Card (Domestic) award for achieving the highest debit card transactions and the Excellence in Product Innovation award for introducing a co-branded Smart Parking Card in collaboration with Mastercard and Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).
The awards ceremony took place on 16 November 2024 at the Radisson Blu in Dhaka. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, presented the awards to Mosharraf Hossain, Executive Vice President of Islami Bank.
The event was attended by Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager of Mastercard, alongside secretaries of various ministries, managing directors, and senior executives from banks, fintech firms, and business organisations across the country.
