Boss mistakenly turns on potato filter during virtual meeting, video goes viral
“I did not get what was happening. I was like ‘why am I a potato out of all the things?" Ocampo said
Video conference hazards are bound to happen who are working from home during this pandemic lockdown. But department head of a non-profit organisation in USA has turned this hiccup into internet gold overnight.
The boss, Lizet Ocampo recently called for a video conference with her colleagues where she accidentally put a "potato filter" on all over her face, reports The Time.
One of her employees said in a tweet, Which has been liked nearly 900,000 times since Monday.
Ocampo had originally downloaded the filter for a fun occasion, but she couldn't put it down as she's not so edgy with tech.
"I did not get what was happening. I was like 'why am I a potato out of all the things?" Ocampo said. "I do try to bring some humor into the meeting and that's part of the reason why I left the potato on, I couldn't take it off," she added.
She expressed joy about making her employees able to laugh for a while as their work can get very tiring so little laughter is needed.
People adore this moment. In fact, some even feel like the potato's facial expression, with its eyes and face, encapsulates what they are feeling in uncertain times.
"A lot of people said they really needed this laugh at this time. I'm laughing even harder because it's me, but I would laugh if it were someone else," she said. "I was also laughing especially at this time when things are really rough for everyone especially first responders and people who still have to work in essential jobs every day."
