An in-flight meal with no takeoff

Thai Airways has opened an airplane-themed restaurant featuring plane parts, seats and memorabilia.
Customers can even walk on a ramp, like they are about to board a plane, reports Guru Magazine by Bangkok Post.

Moreover, customers will receive an e-boarding pass during check-in.
The restaurant was launched on Wednesday, and is located on the first floor of Building 2 at Thai Airways' headquarters on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road in Thailand's Bangkok. It is open to the public and is situated in what is normally the staff cafeteria.

As passengers will enter the restaurant via the airstairs; their "boarding pass" will be scanned by the cabin crew, before being seated at their table.

It is staffed by Thai Airways employees, including grounded cabin crew and catering chefs. Thai filed for bankruptcy protection in May.
For those in Bangkok who cannot get to the restaurant, Thai Airways is offering delivery. The airline has previously offered pre-prepared airline meals, available for pickup at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Don Muang airports.
Varangkana Luerojvong, managing director of Thai Catering, said that following the success of airport meal sales her team were wanting to expand.
