Committed to repatriating Rohingyas: Myanmar

Myanmar's Union Minister for International Cooperation U Kyaw Tin has said that Myanmar is committed to starting the repatriation of Rohingyas under the 2017 bilateral agreement between Bangladesh and Myanmar.
He added that Myanmar is committed to peaceful coexistence with all its neighbouring countries – including Bangladesh – and to resolving issues of mutual interest.
Kyaw Tin made the remarks in a recent letter to Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen, read a press release.
He expressed his hope that the tripartite meeting between China, Myanmar and Bangladesh – held on 19 January – would start the rapid repatriation of the displaced Rohingya people of Myanmar.
Kyaw Tin, in his letter, also mentioned the repatriation of Rohingyas who came to Bangladesh in 1978 and 1992 on the basis of mutual discussions.
