Dark Horse Comics drops Neil Gaiman amidst controversy
Dark Horse Comics has ended its partnership with Neil Gaiman following a New York Magazine report alleging sexual assault by the author.
The publisher announced the cancellation of Gaiman's 'Anansi Boys' comic series and collected volume.
Gaiman had denied the allegations, stating on his blog, "I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone."
The New York Magazine article, which featured accounts from eight women, including former employees and fans, detailed the Gaiman's alleged assault.
While Amazon's 'Anansi Boys' series remains unaffected, other projects, such as Disney's 'The Graveyard Book', face delays. Netflix's 'The Sandman' season 2 is still slated for release this year.
Gaiman expressed regret for past actions but denied all allegations of sexual assault.
