Dune: Prophecy trailer released
After the teaser was released a while ago, HBO released the new trailer for 'Dune: Prophecy' during the NYCC panel in the early hours of 18 October. The panel also revealed that the movie is scheduled to release on 17 November.
The show is a prequel to the events of the movies, taking place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides' rise to power. Showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker focuses on the story of two sisters from the House of Harkonnen and the origins of the sect that would eventually become the Bene Gesserit.
During the panel, it was revealed that spice remains a crucial element in the Dune universe, even at this point in the timeline. Additionally, the theme of dysfunctional family dynamics plays a central role in the story.
