Liam Payne's family to pursue legal action
The family of former One Direction star Liam Payne is pursuing legal action following his tragic death in Buenos Aires on 16 October.
Payne, 31, reportedly fell from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel. Lawyers representing his family appeared in an Argentine court on Tuesday to transfer legal interests to a local firm, positioning the family as plaintiffs in potential criminal cases.
Prosecutors have charged two hotel staffers with allegedly supplying drugs and identified a friend of Payne's as a person of interest.
Shocking photos suggest Payne was confined to his room by hotel staff shortly before his death. Legal experts note the staff may face charges of "abandonment of a person," carrying a sentence of up to 15 years.
