Lilo and Stitch gets release date
Disney's upcoming live-action of 'Lilo & Stitch' finally has a release date. The movie is set to hit screens on 23 May 2025.
The announcement, made during the D23 presentation, also gave fans a sneak peek at the CGI version of Stitch. Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the film stars newcomer Maia Kealoha as Lilo, with Chris Sanders reprising his role as the voice of Stitch.
The story is expected to follow the original 2002 animated plot, where Lilo befriends an alien experiment gone awry, though details of the plot still have not been confirmed.

'Lilo & Stitch' will open on the same weekend as the next 'Mission: Impossible' installment', making for a competitive summer that also includes 'Marvel's Thunderbolts' and a new 'Karate Kid' movie in May 2025.
