Rickshaw Girl song released ahead of film’s premiere
A tribute to rickshaw pullers, the song 'Kon Latai Urrba Ghuri' from the upcoming film Rickshaw Girl. Directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, the song debuted on 19 January on the YouTube channel 'Bongo'.
Written by Sharmin Sultana Sumi and Gausul Alam, the track is performed by Sumel Chowdhury with music arranged by the band Chirkutt. Fans have shown great enthusiasm since its release.
Rickshaw Girl tells the story of 'Naima,' a young woman passionate about painting. When her father, the family's sole breadwinner, falls ill, Naima takes to the streets with a rickshaw to support her family. The film stars Novera Rahman as Naima, alongside Champa, Momena Chowdhury, Naresh Bhuiyan, and Allen Shuvro.
