Space Jam 2 comic coming before movie release
Space Jam: A New Legacy the movie is scheduled to be released on 16 July
Fans of the Looney Tunes and LeBron James won't have to wait for the film to see the biggest basketball game of the year in Space Jam: A New Legacy. The sequel to the 1996 classic has a pre-game warmup on the way in the form of a new comic from DC Comics.
Space Jam: A New Legacy the movie is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros Pictures in the United States on the 16th of July, both in cinemas and on HBO Max – but DC Comics will have this adaptation three weeks before.
Space Jam: A New Legacy stars basketball player LeBron James (who also acts as a producer), as well as Don Cheadle, Khris Davis, Sonequa Martin-Green, and Cedric Joe in live-action roles. The film features Looney Tunes characters such as Bugs
Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Tweety (all of whom voiced by Eric Bauza), Sylvester, Foghorn Leghorn (both of whom voiced by Jeff Bergman), Lola Bunny (as voiced by Kath Soucie), and Speedy Gonzales (as voiced by Gabriel Iglesias).
The release of Space Jam: A New Legacy is going to be preceded by a comic adaptation from DC Comics. Ivan Cohen will write alongside various artists to bring the adventures to the page.
Space Jam 2's comic adaptation goes on sale June 29, 2021.
