Spain prosecutors seek dismissal of Shakira tax fraud case

Spanish prosecutors on Wednesday requested the dismissal of tax fraud proceedings against Colombian superstar Shakira, who last year avoided a trial in a separate case by paying a hefty fine.
"The Barcelona provincial prosecutor's office for economic crimes has requested that the proceedings against Shakira be closed ... for the 2018 tax year" saying it wanted to close the file on grounds of "insufficient evidence".
