'Superman' trailer breaks records as most viewed in DC and Warner Bros history
The live-action debut of the new DC Universe is off to a flying start. Director James Gunn revealed Friday that the teaser trailer for 'Superman' amassed over 250 million views within 24 hours, making it the most-watched and discussed trailer in DC and Warner Bros history.
"Thank you! We're incredibly grateful and, most of all, excited to share this movie with you in July," Gunn said, crediting fans for the milestone.
The teaser introduces David Corenswet as Superman, alongside Nicholas Hoult's Lex Luthor and a lineup of heroes like Krypto, Hawkgirl, and Green Lantern. Gunn promises a fresh take on Superman's mythology, blending iconic elements with grounded storytelling.
'Superman' is set to hit theatres on 11 July, 2024.
