Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried to star in The Housemaid adaptation
Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried are set to star in the film adaptation of Freida McFadden's popular novel 'The Housemaid.'
The psychological thriller will be directed by Paul Feig, known for 'Bridesmaids' and 'A Simple Favor,' and will be produced by Lionsgate.
In the movie, Sweeney will play the role of Millie, a struggling young woman who finds a new job as a housemaid for the wealthy couple Nina (played by Seyfried) and Andrew. However, things take a dark turn when Millie discovers that the family harbors dangerous secrets of their own.
Erin Westerman, Lionsgate Motion Picture Group co-president, expressed her satisfaction with the casting choices, noting that Sweeney and Seyfried are perfect for their roles. She also praised Feig's track record of developing stories with dynamic female leads and expressed excitement about the collaboration.
