Bangladesh men's cricket team leave Dhaka for SA Games

The Bangladesh squad for the men's cricket event in the South Asian (SA) Games has left Dhaka for Kathmandu on Sunday.

Bangladesh have announced a strong squad for the SA Games as they have included national stars like Soumya Sarkar, Afif Hossain and Naim Sheikh. Also, the squad includes players who are around the national setup like Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Mehedi Hasan and Zakir Hasan.
Five teams are participating in the men's cricket event as heavyweights India and Pakistan are not participating. The five teams are - Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan and Maldives. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have sent U-23 squads because of them being full member nations whereas the other three teams will be fielding their national sides.
