BCB to launch shadow team
The team will be named 'Bangladesh Tigers'.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) directors spent a busy time while trying to decide on some major issues during the board of directors meeting on Tuesday at the BCB office in Dhaka.
The BCB has decided to begin a 'shadow players' project in order to ensure that all the players can keep themselves ready. The team will be named 'Bangladesh Tigers'.
BCB President Nazmul Hassan said, "Sometimes few players like Imrul Kayes, Soumya Sarkar who don't get called up to the national team cannot use our facilities properly. It's a big problem. So we want all the players to be fit. That's why we have decided to begin this project."
"Training will continue throughout the year so that if any player of the national team gets injured, we can get a replacement. They will train under local coaches with clear instruction from the head coach," Hassan added.
