Be happy we won: Jamal Bhuyan urges for more positivity on the national team
"There can be mistakes. We are playing football after eight months. We have won, so be happy. Criticise when we lose. You are criticising us even though we are winning," Jamal said candidly.
Jamal Bhuyan, the Bangladesh national football team midfielder and skipper of the side, was born in Denmark and has played club football there as well. But he knows a bit of Bengali thanks to his parents. He tries to interact in Bengali when he speaks to the media in Bangladesh that often leaves people laughing.
Monday was that kind of a day too. Jamal was speaking to the media ahead of the second friendly match against Nepal. Jamal spoke in a hilarious manner when asked about the mistakes that Bangladesh made in the previous game.
"There can be mistakes. We are playing football after eight months. We have won, so be happy. Criticise when we lose. You are criticising us even though we are winning," Jamal said candidly.
"The next match is like a final. It will be great if we win. If we lose, everyone will be vocal against us. So we must win," he added.
