BFF extends contract with Jamie Day

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has extended its contract with national team head coach Jamie Day up to two more years.
The extension was confirmed on the official Facebook page of BFF via a video of BFF General Secretary Abu Nayem Shohagh, followed by a video from Jamie Day himself.
In the video, Shohagh said, "We extended two-year contracts with head coach of national team Jamie Day - from mid of August 2020 to mid of August 2022. We've completed all our formalities and already virtually signed contracts with him today. BFF National Teams Committee will hold a meeting on various issues tomorrow at 12 pm and the very next day we will arrange a virtual press conference of Jamie Day at the same time. BFF media department will communicate with journalists."
Jamie Day said in his video message, "Good afternoon. Just to confirm that I have agreed a new two-year deal with Bangladesh National Football Team as Head Coach, really looking forward to working with BFF again in the future. Obviously really excited about game back and work with National Team players. Now looking to develop and progress further as a national team we have four tough games in October and November but once we really looking forward to and I can't wait to get back With the boys in camp and getting them fit ready for the game. It's exciting this year. Once you know I'm looking forward to I have agreed on a new deal And now hopefully get the ball rolling get the players back in Concentrate. a really good year with results. Thank you all."
Bangladesh team have seen some success under Day as they reached the World Cup 2022 qualifiers and drew with higher-ranked India at their home.
