Cricket legends drafted for LCT 10.10
Six franchises - Gemcon Titans, Acme Strikers, Narayanganj Warriors, Expo Raiders, Boishakh Bengal and J'Adoube Stars - will be taking part in this new 10.10 overs per side tournament.

Former Bangladesh cricketers are all set to play in an updated T10 tournament called Legends Champions Trophy 2021 10.10 beginning from February 18. The players' draft ceremony for the tournament was held at a reputed hotel in the city.
Six franchises - Gemcon Titans, Acme Strikers, Narayanganj Warriors, Expo Raiders, Boishakh Bengal and J'Adoube Stars - will be taking part in this new 10.10 overs per side tournament. The ceremony began with reminiscing some old memories and a saying; "Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger".
Six icon players including the team owners and former players were present during the draft.
Expo Raiders got the first chance to call and they picked up former batsman Faisal Hossain Dickens. Next in line, Acme Strikers picked up the legendary left-arm spinner Mohammad Rafique. Shahriar Hossain Lipu was then picked by Narayangonj Warriors. Rasel Parvez, Hannan Sarkar and Farid Uddin Ahmed.. were then picked respectively by J'Adoube Stars, Gemcon Titans and Boishakhi Bengals.
Light banters were exchanged between the ex-players, especially when Khaled Mahmud Sujon, the icon player of Expo Raiders was calling for players.
Expo Raiders then went on to pick up Talha Jubair, Mehrab Hossain Opi, Asadullah Biplob, Waseel Uddin Ahmed, Md Samsul Haque, Jahirul Haque, Morshed Ali, Nayeem Afroz Kha, Shafiuddin Ahmed, Sazzad Ahmed, Mizanur Rahman Babul and Mofijul Islam Biplob. Nasir Ahmed Nasu is their mentor.
Narayanganj Warriors picked up ex-skipper Faruq Ahmed, Tanvir Ahmed, Jahangir Alam, Jewel Hossain Mona, Touhid Hossain Shamol, Nasir Hossain, Ashraful Islam, Md Shathil, Kamrul Payel, Sohel Hossain Pappu. Athar Ali Khan will be their mentor for the tournament.
J'Adoube Stars captained by Akram Khan picked up Sajal Chowdhury, Rafiqul Islam, Nazmul Hossain, Md Humayun Kabir, Enamul Haque Moni, Imran Parves Ripon, Mahmud Zaman, Rubayet Zamil, Md Sazzadul Karim.
Star-studded Gemcon Titans will be the team to beat in the tournament. Former opening batsman Javed Omar Belim along with Mashudur Rahman Mukul, Shafiq Al Zabir, MD Selim, Tareq Aziz Khan, MD Saiful Islam Khan, Murad Khan, Sonjoy Chakrobortty, Harunur Rashid Liton, Mahmud Dowla and Fahim Muntasir Sumit.
Boishakhi Bengals have Minhajul Abedin Nannu as their icon player. Their squad includes Moniruzzaman Tinku, Alamin Kabir, Sanwar Hossain, Mahmudul Hasan Rana, Anwar Hossain Monir, Hasanujjaman Jhoru, Neaz Morshed Nahid, Shahnewaz Kabir, Debabrata Paul Sheikh Farid, Anwar Hossain and Imran Ahmed.
Acme Strikers with their skipper Khaled Mashud Pilot and legendary spinner Mohammad Rafique have Golam Mostafa, Ihsanul Haque Shezan, Mahbubul Alam Robin, Mushfiqur Rahman Babu, Hasibul Hossain Shanto, Anisul Hakim Khan, Ali Arman Rajon, Rashidul Haque, Tareque Islam, Azam Iqbal, Shafayat Kiron and Zakir Hasan.
Each team finally consists of 16 players including icon and mentor for each side.
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director and Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus, Bashundhara Group Vice Chairman and T-Sports Chairman and Managing Director Safwan Sobhan Tasbir were present during the draft.
To bring excitement, there will be tons of new and fun rules applied for the tournament.
After the draft was done, the icon players came on to the stage and shared their memories of their playing days. Then came the team owners to share their views on their respective teams and the competition overall.
Over a hundred ex-players and legends have registered for the tournament.
The tournament will take place at Cox's Bazar from 18 to 21 February. The selected venues are- Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium and Academy field.
