During the post-match presentation after the match, Anamul was seen emotionally broken down after failing to take his side over the line in a nail-biting affair and thus the management felt that he should only concentrate on his batting.
Durbar Rajshahi is like to inform you all that the team management has decided to give our skipper Anamul Haque Bijoy some space to concentrate only on his batting. Thus we appointed experinced pacer Taskin Ahmed as our new captain for the remaining matches of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League T20.
Anamul has been the leading run-getter in the tournament with 324 runs in eight matches and he smashed a sensational knock of unbeaten 100 off 57 balls against Khulna in his side's last game against Khulna Tigers in Chattogram on January 19.
