Dhaka Mohammedan confirms 30 footballers for the BPL season
The three new foreign players are Malian defender Ousmane Berthe and Nigerian defender Stanley Onyekachi Amadi and midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Monek
Dhaka Mohammedan Limited confirmed 30 footballers- 25 local and five foreign players - to form their team, for the professional football league competition Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2019-20 which will begin in January.
The black and whites will retain 10 players and sign 20 new players including two foreign players - Malian forward Souleymane Diabate and Japanese midfielder Uryu Nagata, confirmed Director of Dhaka Mohammedan Limited Sarwar Hossain on Monday.
The three new foreign players are Malian defender Ousmane Berthe and Nigerian defender Stanley Onyekachi Amadi and midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Moneke.
Ousmane Berthe came from Qatari club Al Muaither SC, Stanley Onyekachi Amadi came from Sri Lankan club New Youngs FC and Ugochukwu Obi Moneke came from the Cambodian club Ministry of National Defence FC.
Mohammedan recruited 17 new local players -- midfielder Sohanur Rahman from Bashundhara Kings, forward Ousai Mong Marma from Saif Sporting Club, midfielders Anik Hossain and Shahed Hossain from Chattogram Abahani Limited, midfielder Rumnon Hossain from Sheikh Russel KC, goalkeeper Hossain Sujon from Sheikh Jamal DC, goalkeeper Mazharul Islam Himel and defender Atiquzzaman from Arambagh Krira Sangha, midfielder Farad Mona, defenders Masud Rana Mredha, Kamrul Islam, Sadekuzzaman Fahim from NoFel Sporting Club, midfielder Sayed Rakib Khan Evan from Muktijoddha SKC, goalkeeper Jasim Uddin from Army team, defender Humyayun Kabir Khan from Feni Soccer Club.
