I've never met a more professional bloke than Mushfiqur: Donald
Mushfiqur, who became the second Bangladeshi batter to score 1000 runs in the World Cup after Shakib Al Hasan, has been a key player for the Tigers in the middle order for a very long time.
Bangladesh fast-bowling coach Allan Donald praised middle-order batter Mushfiqur Rahim for his professionalism and commitment towards the game.
Mushfiqur, who became the second Bangladeshi batter to score 1000 runs in the World Cup after Shakib Al Hasan, has been a key player for the Tigers in the middle order for a very long time.
He has been in decent touch in the World Cup with two half-centuries in four innings.
"I have never met a more professional bloke than him," Donald told the ICC ahead of Bangladesh's match against South Africa. "If you are a youngster following him, then wow.. I think Bangladesh are proud of what the little man has achieved so far and I am sure he has a few more years in him."
Mushfiqur picked the 2007 World Cup win against India, the historic win over England in the 2015 tournament and his maiden World Cup hundred against Australia four years ago as his best World Cup memories.
The former Bangladesh captain hopes to make an impact in the remaining matches of the tournament. "I am hopeful. I have got two fifties in the World Cup and I think if I can bat till the end, it will help us get back to winning ways," said Mushfiqur.
