14 stitches in Mashrafe's left hand
The veteran pacer had to have 14 stitches on his left hand and will miss the eliminator.
Dhaka Platoon skipper Mashrafe Mortaza injured his left hand and had to have 14 stitches in his injured hand in the match against Khulna Tigers. He had to leave the field during the 11th over and could not take part for the rest of the match.
Later, in the post-match press conference Platoon's wicket-keeper batsman Anamul Bijoy confirmed that Mashrafe had stitches on his left palm.
He injured the joint of his left thumb and index finger while trying to take a catch of Tiger's Rilee Rossouw, off Mahedi Hasan.
Mashrafe was rushed to a hospital and was provided the stitches but no further tests were done, according to the team management.
Anamul also confirmed that Mashrafe will be unavailable for Dhaka Platoon's eliminator against Chattogram Challengers on Monday.
However, if Dhaka Platoon makes it to the finals, Masharfe has six days to get himself fit for the title bout, which is scheduled to be held on January 17.
