Mosaddek out for a month
The news was confirmed by a press release from the Sylhet Thunder management.
Mosaddek Hossain, the Sylhet Thunder skipper, will be out for about a month because of a grade-2 tear just below his neck.
The news was confirmed by a press release from the Sylhet Thunder management.
Mosaddek injured himself attempting a dive in Sylhet's match against Rangpur Rangers at Dhaka on December 30 in the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 2019. He had a slight discomfort in his neck following the incident and had to leave the field. The pain persisted and an MRI Scan was done, which led to the confirmation of Mosaddek having a grade-2 tear just below his neck.
A press release provided by the Sylhet management stated that he was under Bangladesh Cricket Board's (BCB) supervision and will be out for nearly a month.
"Mosaddek Hossain has suffered a grade 2 tear ( just Below his neck) after his injury in his match against Rangpur Rangers on 30 Dec. He has not played since and already returned today ( Saturday) Dhaka. He is under the supervision of Dr. Debashish and has to rest for nearly one month," the press release read.
Mosaddek's injury means that he will miss out on the rest of the BPL and also a doubt for Bangladesh's upcoming Pakistan tour.
