Mushfiq double ton, Nayeem's double-blow pegs Zimbabwe back

Bangladesh are in complete control of their one-off Test against Zimbabwe as Zimbabwe lost a couple of wickets in their short batting stint on day three and are still behind by 286 runs. 

Bangladesh declared their innings on 560-6 after Mushfiqur Rahim picked up his third double century in Tests. Along with skipper Mominul Haque's 132 and Liton Das' fifty, Bangladesh piled up their record Test score on home soil. 

In their second innings, Zimbabwe had to bat for only five overs on the day. But they failed to go through that unscathed as Nayeem Hasan picked up a couple of wickets to reduce them to 9-2 by the end of day's play.

Bangladesh started the day on 240-3 with Mominul and Mushfiq at the crease. These two put up a 222-run stand to push Bangladesh into the lead before Mominul was sent back on 132 by Ainsley Ndlovu. 

Mohammad Mithun did not last long at the crease but Liton came in and put up a 111-run stand with Mushfiq. Liton was dismissed right after picking up his fifty, but Mushfiq went on to pick up his third double ton. 

Mushfiq went one up on his two Test doubles in this match and also achieved another milestone. He surpassed Tamim Iqbal's record as the highest run-scorer for Bangladesh in Tests with his massive knock. 

After put into bat for the remaining of day three, Zimbabwe lost two wickets in the very first over. Nayeem Hasan cleaned up Prince Masvaure's stumps before nightwatchman Donald Tiripano was caught behind by Liton Das. 

Kevin Kasuza and Brendan Taylor ensured that no more wickets were lost but they were already sent into the backfoot. They still have an uphill battle to fight on the fourth day as Zimbabwe still trail by 286 runs.
