No foreign players in the upcoming T20 tournament: BCB President
The five-team T20 tournament is supposed to start on November 15, as informed by the BCB president Nazmul Hassan.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), after hosting the BCB President's Cup successfully, is now looking to host a domestic T20 tournament on mid-November.
The five-team T20 tournament is supposed to start on November 15, as informed by the BCB president Nazmul Hassan.
He also mentioned that no foreign player will participate in the tournament. "We don't want to include any foreign player here. If we look for overseas players, we will find a lot of batsmen. There is no point in roping in overseas batsmen."
"We have decided that only our local players will participate in the tournament. Since it's going to be a five-team tournament, we'll need to have another 30 players. I know it's quite challenging but we are taking the challenge," Hassan added
The BCB president ensured that it will be a franchise tournament, but how the teams will be selected has not been finalised yet.
